and if the movie had been done justice these themes could have been played out completely as either and individual piece or as a longer developed sequence. Starting in the coercive feel of Facilier Migrating into the cost and "toll" of granting wishes for "nothing" like Ursula transferring into the self assured and vengeful Scar And completing a round off of pomp and self rightousness as Frolo Done over a longer sequence rather than a one off song would allow the motif to change and twist and allow a "mask" to fall off of the King. and you could then allow the king to complete the sequence with harvesting/devouring/absorbing a wish from someone that dies and the "power" of that being a driver to fuel the "evil ambition" of our vilian. This could even be drawn out further to include more motifs from other vilians across the disney lexicon in other songs/moments. but the idea is really solid. it is just sad that the thing that was delivered is so sub par.
